EDW February 2012

The just-completed poster for the next EDW event. I was a little pressed for time with this one (hence the many shared assets with the previous poster) but I'm really happy with the simpler, cleaner design. The original inspiration for the design came from the UI of games like Persona and Street Fighter Alpha 3 (a source I've drawn on before, actually).

Side note: Forgot to update the site for a while there; I've posted up some other recent work before this poster.

EDW 11.11.11

After taking a few months off, I return to make the poster for EDW's 10th anniversary show!

EDW June 2011

I really like this one. It was based loosely on the Red Dead Redemption cover art, and the warm reds and oranges give it a much different feel to previous EDW posters.

EDW April 2011

It took forever to put this poster together, and there are definitely things here that I would improve on, but I think it turned out pretty well for all the frustration it caused me.

Side-Project: 3DS View

My friend David R. Clark has asked me to write for his new website focused on Nintendo's upcoming 3DS console, which I'm all-to-happy to do - I can't wait for this thing to come out! I've already contributed a number of news articles and a pretty sizeable hands-on report. Go take a look!

Killzone 3

I originally had a more complex idea for this one, with more of a retro movie poster aesthetic that featured Stahl and Orlock. Ultimately I decided it was too busy and started simplifying it to what you see above. I think the propaganda style fits the world of Helghan better.

EDW February 2011 (Oct '10 Redux)

After some issues with permits and such, EDW is back later this month. I was really happy with the last poster so I kept that design, just adding a bit about the main event and (obviously) changing the event details. I did try to redo the layout to give the main event some more focus, but I wasn't able to find a way to make that work. The simpler design ended up working far better than any of my other attempts.

Live Pro Wrestling in Shifnal

My first project of 2011 (aside from a new nametag which I'll post at a later date) is a poster for a wrestling show in Shifnal, involving some of the same folks who do the EDW events. This one is a little different to the EDW posters - which are generally a bit more stylized - since the client wanted something similar to the Wrestlemania 25 poster. For the most part, I think it came out really well.
